Overview
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our Business Application and Data Science team. This individual will play a critical role in shaping the next generation of AI-driven tools and custom software solutions that support our real estate operations.
As a senior member of the team, you will partner closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand business goals, uncover challenges, and translate those needs into clear, actionable requirements for our software development and data science teams. You will be hands-on in Azure Dev Ops—defining user stories, managing backlogs, participating in PI/release planning, and driving alignment throughout the development lifecycle.
This is a highly collaborative, user-facing role where communication skills, analytical strength, and attention to detail are paramount. You will act as a bridge between business functions and technical teams to ensure we deliver impactful, high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities- Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs, identify business challenges, and translate them into clear and actionable software requirements.
- Lead requirements-gathering workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business partners, helping them articulate their goals and understand solution trade-offs.
- Requirements Definition & Documentation
- Develop complete user stories, epics, features, workflows, and acceptance criteria in Azure Dev Ops.
- Ensure requirements are well-documented, testable, and aligned with business strategy.
- Partner with UX/UI designers to conceptualize user-centered interfaces, mockups, and experience flows.
- Agile Delivery & Backlog Management
- Own and refine backlogs—prioritizing, sequencing, and maintaining clarity across all work items.
- Lead or support Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, grooming sessions, and retrospectives.
- Support Program Increment (PI) and release planning, ensuring cross-team alignment and readiness.
- Project Execution & Delivery Oversight
- Assist project managers with detailed project plans, roadmaps, timelines, and status updates.
- Track and report on project metrics; interpret data to guide decision-making.
- Communicate progress, risks, and issues clearly and proactively to leadership and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with software developers and AI/data specialists to ensure successful and timely delivery of solutions.
- Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate and recommend enhancements to processes, documentation, Agile discipline, and delivery frameworks.
- Stay current with industry trends in Agile, AI technologies, and modern software development practices.
- Promote best practices that drive quality, efficiency, and scalability across the team.
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role in a software development environment.
- Background supporting software development, Agile workflows, and iterative delivery.
- Strong expertise in Azure Dev Ops, including backlog management, requirement documentation, and release planning.
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, including sprint execution, refinement, and PI planning.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Proven ability to interpret data and support data-driven decision-making.
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills; able to serve as a liaison between business and technical audiences.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in the commercial real estate industry is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts or data-driven applications is highly beneficial.
