Central Technology Operation exists to empower innovation and enable scalability for teams across our organization. Joining Operations means working with strategic partners in world-class technology teams, opportunities to streamline processes and eliminate barriers, and telling stories that support the evolution of interactive entertainment.

As Director, Program & Portfolio Execution
, you will own the day-to-day operational execution of our portfolio of programs while helping shape and drive key elements of EA’s AI initiatives. This role is equal parts operational backbone, problem-solver-in-chief, and strategic amplifier.

You will oversee multiple complex programs, ensure teams are unblocked and aligned, and translate strategy into executable plans. When things get messy, you bring order. When priorities collide, you bring clarity. When programs stall, you remove the barriers and get them moving again.

This role partners closely with senior leadership, engineering, product, and cross-functional teams to ensure programs execute effectively and deliver meaningful impact.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the execution health, delivery quality, and outcomes of a complex portfolio of programs across Central Technology Operations.
  • Drive consistent execution rhythms, planning frameworks, and standards across programs.
  • Maintain portfolio roadmaps, visibility, and alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for portfolio-level risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges.
Drive Planning, Delivery, and Problem Solving
  • Translate strategic goals into clear, executable plans across the portfolio.
  • Proactively identify risks, trade-offs, and execution gaps, addressing issues before they impact outcomes.
  • Remove blockers, resolve conflicts, and course-correct programs as needed.
  • Ensure program plans, materials, and updates are complete, accurate, and fully polished, suitable for senior leadership review with minimal follow-up.
Enable AI, Data, and Executive Decision-Making
  • Support execution of AI-related initiatives by translating strategy into actionable milestones and measurable outcomes.
  • Oversee portfolio-level data and reporting to ensure leaders have clear, actionable insight into progress, risks, and results.
  • Partner with data, analytics, and technology teams to define meaningful KPIs and success measures.
  • Ensure executive-ready dashboards and narratives that enable informed decision-making.
Leadership, Standards, and Culture
  • Set and uphold high standards for execution quality, documentation, and accountability across the portfolio.
  • Mentor and coach program managers, elevating delivery rigor and consistency.
  • Lead through influence and credibility, serving as a trusted extension of senior leadership.
  • Foster a culture of clarity, ownership, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring
  • 12+ years of experience in program management within technical or engineering environments.
  • Strong technical acumen with experience working closely with software development, or technical operations teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and drive execution across a portfolio of programs.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a proven track record of delivering highly polished, execution-ready work suitable for senior leadership review.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, challenge, and build consensus across organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing multiple priorities, navigating ambiguity, and driving results independently.
