Overview
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Strategic Operations Research Analyst to join a dynamic, high-performing team. The role involves using systematic, science-based techniques, analytical methods, simulation, and critical thinking to inform and improve decision-making across Lockheed Martin products and programs. It includes frequent collaboration with engineers and support for requirements definitions, concept of operations evaluation, and operational effectiveness studies.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in analysis and study plans based on critical questions/problem statements.
- Apply engineering-based techniques, problem-solving methods, and critical thinking.
- Research and learn military systems, operations, and tactics.
- Model, simulate, and analyze military systems and scenarios in digital environments.
- Analyze simulation results using data analytics to draw meaningful conclusions.
- Participate in trade studies and perform statistical analysis.
- Conduct research efforts and learn analytical techniques with research methodologies.
- Apply decision analysis methods to evaluate current and future programs.
- Active DoD secret clearance.
- Operations Research or experience with computer-based analytical tools.
- Modeling and simulation experience.
- Software development experience (C++, Git) and familiarity with Linux OS.
- Knowledge of data analytics, data science, and data visualization.
- Basic understanding of statistical concepts such as hypothesis testing and regression analysis.
- Advanced degree in a STEM discipline.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a DoD secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited college/university.
- Scripting and data processing experience (MATLAB, Python, or similar).
- Problem-solving skills with an eagerness to learn.
- Ability to obtain a top-secret clearance upon employment; requirement for enhanced security review and timely maintenance of clearance.
Location:
Orlando, Florida. Onsite full-time required at a Lockheed Martin facility.
Work schedule:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules for flexibility.
Security clearance:
Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years.
