Desktop Support Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. In this role, you will be the first line of defense for technical issues, ensuring that our employees have the hardware and software support they need to remain productive. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who pairs technical proficiency with excellent communication skills.

• Hardware Support: Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
• Software Management: Deploy and update operating systems (Windows/macOS) and enterprise applications (Office 365, VPN clients, etc.).
• System Maintenance: Perform routine hardware upgrades (RAM, SSDs) and ensure all workstations meet security compliance standards.
• Incident Resolution: Respond to help desk tickets promptly, documenting solutions and escalating complex issues to Tier 2/3 support when necessary.
• Deployment: Assist with the imaging and setup of new workstations for employee onboarding.
• Connectivity Support: Troubleshoot basic networking issues, including Wi-Fi, Ethernet connectivity, and VoIP phone systems.

• CompTIA A+ Certification (Required): Must have a current certification or be in the final stages of obtaining it.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of PC hardware components and Windows 10/11 environments.
• Problem Solving: Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues under pressure.
• Communication: Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff clearly and professionally.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs (moving monitors, servers, or desktop towers).
