About the Role
This is a hands‑on technical leadership role. You won’t just advise — you’ll design, build, and own the architecture of our Salesforce environment and its integrations with our core product.
Our Salesforce org supports approximately 100 users across Sales, Customer Success, and Operations — but this role extends beyond Salesforce. You will have architectural ownership of all enterprise applications: go‑to‑market systems, backend business systems, and the data infrastructure that connects them to our core Biller Genie platform. We have solid tooling in place; now we need the right person to take what we’ve built and transform it into a scalable, enterprise‑grade architecture that grows with us.
If you’re fully remote, we’re only considering candidates in the Eastern time zone — this role works closely with our Orlando‑based team and real‑time availability matters.
- Within the first few months, get up to speed with the current tech stack, processes and data models, and support and improve where possible to support a partner‑led growth GTM motion.
- Within six months, lead a large re-architecture initiative for our enterprise applications — including designing integration patterns with our core platform and establishing the foundational data architecture (schemas, pipelines, and access patterns) that connects Salesforce Data Cloud to our Click House‑based lakehouse layer.
- Increase development throughput without sacrificing quality via agentic tools (such as Claude Code).
- Share insights and help develop and promote the use of agentic architecture and development practices across the Enterprise Apps team SDLC.
- Lead a comprehensive assessment and re-architecture of our Salesforce org — data model, automations, security model, and UI — for a ~100‑user environment, and ensure it can scale as we grow.
- Partner with Engineering to connect enterprise applications to the core Biller Genie platform’s lakehouse architecture — aligning on schema design, integration pipelines, and data modeling patterns across systems built on Apache Iceberg / Delta Lake and Click House.
- Have architectural ownership of all systems under Enterprise Apps, including go‑to‑market systems, and any backend business systems and databases (not directly under the core Biller Genie application).
- Audit and remediate broken processes, flows, process builders, and legacy automation logic.
- Define and enforce Salesforce development standards, governance policies, and best practices across the org.
- Evaluate, select, and manage App Exchange products and third‑party tools within the Salesforce ecosystem.
- Partner with Revenue Operations and Engineering to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation including architecture diagrams, integration specs, and data dictionaries.
- Has led at least one full Salesforce org re-architecture or large‑scale remediation project end‑to‑end — from assessment through go‑live.
- Comfortable owning architectural decisions independently — this role has no Salesforce team above it; you are the escalation point.
- Salesforce Data Cloud experience — including data modeling, data streams, and unified data layer design.
- Deep expertise in Sales Cloud and Service Cloud configuration, data modeling, and automation.
- Hands‑on experience with lakehouse architecture — open table formats (Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake), object storage (S3, Azure Blob Storage, or similar), and high‑performance query engines such as Click House, Databricks, or Snowflake.
- Strong Apex, LWC, Flow, and SQL development skills.
- Experience with coding via AI tools (such as Claude Code) to increase production throughput without sacrificing quality.
- Familiarity with Dev Ops tooling (Salto, Copado, Gearset, or similar) and version control practices (Git).
- Experience in fintech, SaaS, or payments/billing domain a plus.
- Familiarity with Quick Books, Net Suite, or similar accounting/ERP systems a plus.
- Salesforce Certified Application Architect a strong plus.
- Base Salary: $175,000 – $195,000 (commensurate with experience).
- Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans.
- Flexible work arrangement — onsite preferred in Orlando, FL; remote available for East Coast‑based candidates.
- Flexible open paid time off (PTO).
- 401(k) with up to 4% company match.
