Position: Business Intelligence (BI) Developer

We energize society by supporting our customers to make the transition to a more sustainable world, based on innovative technologies and our ability to turn ideas into reality. With nearly 100,000 employees around the world, we shape the energy systems of today and tomorrow.

Are you passionate about turning data into impactful insights? In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of transforming procurement analytics for Siemens Energy’s Blades and Vanes organization. You’ll design, build, and support cutting‑edge BI solutions that empower faster, smarter decision‑making across the business.

Partnering closely with stakeholders and a dynamic analytics team, you’ll create foundational dashboards, standardize KPIs, and develop scalable, governed semantic models complete with a reusable DAX measure library. You’ll also play a key role in shaping our Snowflake curated data layer, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability as our analytics ecosystem evolves.

If you thrive in a fast‑paced, growing environment and bring strong Power BI expertise, clear communication skills, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Partner with business stakeholders and procurement analytics SMEs to translate complex needs into clear requirements, standardized KPI definitions, and a prioritized BI roadmap.
  • Design and deliver intuitive Power BI dashboards and scorecards from early prototypes to production‑ready solutions focused on usability, clarity, and actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain governed semantic models in Power BI, along with a reusable DAX measure library to drive consistency and scalability across reporting.
  • Collaborate with the procurement analytics team to shape curated data in Snowflake validating business logic, refining data models, and ensuring high data quality.
  • Own BI solution performance and reliability, including refresh strategies, optimization, and ongoing enhancements as data evolves.
  • Manage and govern content in Power BI Service (work spaces, apps, RLS, and standards), while enabling self‑service adoption through training, documentation, and user support.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a data‑focused field such as Data Analytics, Econometrics, Quantitative Finance, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years delivering end‑to‑end BI solutions, including report development, semantic modeling, and supporting production environments. More years of experience can be considered at a higher level.
  • Power BI Service fundamentals, including work spaces, apps, data refresh, and Row‑Level Security (RLS), along with performance optimization best practices for Import models; experience with other BI tools is welcome, and transferable skills from platforms outside of Power BI will be considered.
  • Data modeling and analytics, including dimensional modeling (star schema), DAX, and Power Query (M) to build scalable and reliable datasets.
  • Snowflake and SQL to contribute to table/view development, validate data, and support data quality practices within an analytics team.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer‑sponsored work;
Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
Benefits
  • Career growth and development opportunities
  • Company paid Health and wellness benefits
