Network and Computer Systems Administrator

Responsibilities

• Installs, configures, and maintains an organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers.
• Performs system monitoring and verifies the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems.
• Reviews system and application logs and verifies completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups.
• Manages Active Directory (AD) for the network, including creating users, enforcing GPO, and resolving issues for users.
• Installs and upgrades software and maintains software licenses.
• Maintains, installs, and configures various platforms or services such as Tenable (ACAS), DHCP, and DNS on Linux operating systems.
• May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.

• Clearance:
  Interim Secret clearance or above is required.
• Certification /
  
  Education:
  
  One of the following DoD 8140 requirements:
  • COMPTIA Security+ or similar industry certification
  • BS Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of three (3) years of experience in:
  • Configuring and maintaining networks.
  • System monitoring, reviewing logs, backups, and troubleshooting network performance.
  • Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and applying change management practices.
  • Ensuring system performance and availability.
  • Experience with:
    • Active Directory (AD)
    • Windows Server 2022/2025
    • RHEL 7/8
    • ACAS
    • STIGs

• Linux or Windows OS certification(s)
• Experience with Comply-to-Connect
