On Call Required
The Epic Security Analyst II will provide consultation and guidance to development, internal application and technical teams, as well as the third‑party Epic EMP/SER provisioning vendor to maintain optimal protocols for granting and revoking appropriate end‑user access for supported applications, under the direction of the Manager, Identity Access Management and in support of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Orlando Health business units.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain Epic security protocols in consultation with stakeholders to secure the Epic application.
- Understand Epic software structures, including profiles, roles, menus, security classes, as well as network and device security.
- Perform daily Epic security administration functions: manage access requests, create/delete user profiles, maintain documentation, and monitor audit logs.
- Conduct provider import/build and cross‑referencing user lists as needed.
- Develop and maintain standard security configuration, security classes, templates, blueprint ownership, and provisioning/deprovisioning of application security levels and roles.
- Collaborate with Epic application teams to design system‑level access controls, such as logout times, and guide ownership and change delegation.
- Take ownership of process improvement in Epic security provisioning, monitoring, and auditing.
- Provide day‑to‑day troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution of provider record issues.
- Assist Epic project representatives in design, build, and testing tasks following the project plan.
- Identify and resolve security and provider configuration issues that affect other application teams.
- Create and maintain Knowledge Base and other Epic security related documentation.
- Communicate with the Information Services Security Risk and Compliance Team, understanding business needs and security concerns, and report to management.
- Manage user and provider standards, associated documentation, and processes.
- Coordinate with Epic Hosting Team and support technical teams, lead implementation of policies, trainings and Q&A sessions.
- Oversee testing, follow‑up with stakeholders, and participate in weekly project team meetings.
- Analyze, interpret, and present audit findings in clear, concise reports.
- Recommend and lead implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide on‑call coverage at scheduled intervals, including support for upgrades and unplanned events during after‑hours and weekends.
- Interface with stakeholders at all levels and roles to enforce high standards of ethics, regulatory compliance and customer service.
- Demonstrate good judgment, sense of urgency and commitment to business integrity.
- Associate’s degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, or Business.
- Minimum 4 years of information technology experience and 3 years of customer support experience.

101 – Epic Fundamentals, Security
200 – Epic Security Administration. - Preferred certifications: IT Security industry certification (e.g., Security+, A+, CCNA), Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM), Certified Identity Management Professional (CIMP), Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator Associate.
