About the Role & Team:
At Disney Experiences Technology, our team creates world‑class immersive digital experiences for the Company’s premier vacation brands including Disney’s Parks & Resorts worldwide, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, and Disney Vacation Club. We are responsible for the end‑to‑end digital and physical guest experience for all technology & digital‑led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation, and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including the My Disney Experience app.
You Will Do
- Lead large‑scale programs and/or projects, ensuring seamless collaboration across various teams and work streams.
- Act as the point of contact for project partners such as Engineering, Product Management, and Architecture, providing regular updates to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Build and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including timelines, budgets, and prioritization plans.
- Produce monthly expense and capital forecasts.
- Research and provide causes of change for variances from the project scope, schedule, and cost.
- Maintain a continuous view of resource demand and capacity across projects; proactively partner with leadership to plan for leveled prioritization across development and sustainment activities.
- Lead project meetings and maintain minutes, including purpose, agenda, and progress towards goals.
- Lead and direct junior technical project managers in the execution of their work during the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and facilitate project status presentations, dashboards, risk assessments and data‑driven storytelling for leadership and executives.
- Minimum of 7 years of technical project/program management experience working with technical teams developing enterprise‑class solutions.
- Possesses a technical understanding of Cloud, APIs, services, database technologies, capabilities & platform dependencies, software development lifecycle, and engineering.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills with the ability to influence others and build consensus.
- Hands‑on experience with practices such as Agile, Lean, Kanban, Waterfall, including a blending of styles to facilitate collaboration and delivery.
- Deep understanding of Agile technical practices, Dev Ops and testing concepts (CI/CD, TDD).
- Experience with project management tools like MyPPM (Clarity) and Jira and with reporting applications such as Tableau and Power
BI.
- Technical project management experience in Commerce or a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience.
The hiring range for this position in Orlando, FL is $ to $ per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may vary based on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
