The Data & Evaluation Analyst plays a critical role in creating reports, managing, analyzing, and interpreting learner data to strengthen programs, improve outcomes, and demonstrate organizational impact. You see data as more than numbers—you see the people and stories behind it, and you are energized by turning complex information into insights that expand opportunity.
In this role, you will serve as a bridge between program teams, evaluation staff, and the Salesforce team. You will design and maintain reports and dashboards, respond to data requests, and help stakeholders think through how data should be structured to find the right answers. Your work ensures that high‑quality, accurate, and actionable information is available to support decision‑making across the organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesData Management & Reporting
- Manage learner data within Salesforce, including demographic, survey, and assessment data used to evaluate program outcomes.
- Design, build, and maintain Salesforce reports and dashboards that support internal decision‑making and external reporting.
- Support the development and revision of learner surveys and data collection instruments within Salesforce.
- Identify opportunities to improve data quality, consistency, and usability across systems.
Analytics & Insights
- Respond to internal and external ad hoc data requests, providing thoughtful analysis and guidance on how data should be interpreted.
- Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Contribute to evaluation activities that measure program effectiveness, learner outcomes, and organizational impact.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner with program, evaluation, and operations teams to improve how learner data is collected, structured, and used.
- Collaborate with the Salesforce/IT/IS teams to ensure evaluation and reporting needs are reflected in system design.
- Support organizational efforts to embed data‑driven decision‑making into workflows and culture.
Project & Process Support
- Manage small‑scale data projects aligned with organizational goals.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data processes, documentation, and governance practices.
- At least 3 years of professional experience working with data, analytics, or evaluation.
- Strong experience working with Salesforce data, including reporting, data structure, and troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting data requests and reporting needs for cross‑functional teams.
- Understanding of evaluation concepts, program outcomes, or impact measurement.
- Ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Comfort working in environments where priorities evolve and new challenges arise.
- Experience in nonprofit, startup, education, or workforce development environments is especially valuable.
- Proficiency with Salesforce reporting and dashboards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Strong analytical and data‑cleaning skills.
- Ability to synthesize and communicate insights clearly and compellingly.
For this role specifically, we are targeting a salary range between $65,000/year and $70,000/year, where the difference in salary is typically determined by several factors, including the geography in which the selected candidate resides and alignment with qualifications and experience.
