The Education Technology Manager provides leadership, coordination, and support for educational technology systems, student devices, digital learning platforms, and technology innovation initiatives across the UCP Charter Schools Consortium. This position serves as the primary liaison between school-based technology staff, instructional teams, and agency IT personnel to ensure technology resources effectively support teaching, learning, assessment, and school operations.
The Manager oversees the deployment, management, and functionality of student-facing technology, including Chromebooks, tablets, SMART Boards, digital curriculum platforms, assessment systems, and learning applications. The position also supports emerging technologies and innovation initiatives, including robotics, STEM programming, makerspaces, and technology‑rich learning experiences.
In collaboration with school leaders, technology coaches, curriculum staff, and IT personnel, this role ensures that technology systems are reliable, accessible, innovative, and aligned with the instructional and operational needs of UCP Charter Schools.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Oversee consortium-wide deployment, inventory, replacement, and lifecycle management of student devices and classroom technology.
- Coordinate student device setup, provisioning, and assignment processes.
- Ensure digital curriculum, assessment, and learning platforms are properly configured and integrated with student information systems.
- Coordinate technology readiness for state and local assessments.
- Develop and maintain procedures for device management, inventory control, and technology asset tracking.
- Monitor technology utilization and recommend replacement and upgrade plans.
- Support implementation of robotics, STEM, coding, makerspace, and innovation initiatives across campuses.
- Collaborate with Technology Coaches to expand student access to emerging technologies.
- Research and recommend innovative educational technology solutions that support student engagement and achievement.
- Supervise and support Technology Coaches.
- Facilitate regular meetings and professional development for technology staff.
- Establish consortium-wide expectations, procedures, and standards related to educational technology.
- Serve as liaison between schools, curriculum teams, vendors, and agency IT personnel.
- Coordinate technology showcases, STEM events, robotics competitions, and innovation projects.
