Job Title: Junior Desktop Support Contractor
Location: Miami, FL (Onsite)
Contract Length: 12 months
Environment: Microsoft-focused

About the Role

Our client is seeking a Junior Desktop Support Contractor to provide onsite technical support for a Microsoft-based environment. This is a one-year contract role, ideal for someone early in their IT career with strong troubleshooting skills and excellent customer service. Located on site in Miami.

The successful candidate will work closely with end users to resolve issues related to Microsoft Teams, general desktop support, and audio-visual (AV) setups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide frontline support for Microsoft Teams, including connectivity, call quality, and collaboration features.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Assist with setup, configuration, and support of audio-visual equipment for meetings and events.
  • Perform basic user account administration in Microsoft 365 (password resets, permissions).
  • Document issues, resolutions, and escalate more complex problems as needed.
  • Ensure timely response to service requests and tickets.
  • Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of IT assets.
Qualifications
  • 1 to 2 years of IT support experience, ideally in a Microsoft environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Office 365, and Windows 10/11 troubleshooting.
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts (Wi-Fi, VPN, connectivity).
  • Hands-on experience with AV equipment setup and troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work onsite and support end users in person.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Service Now or another ticketing system.
  • Exposure to Active Directory basics.
  • CompTIA A+ or Microsoft certification (MTA, M365 Fundamentals) is an asset.

  • Length: 12 months, with potential for extension.
  • Location: Onsite in Miami, FL.
  • Level: Junior - suitable for candidates with early career IT support experience.
