PC Field Technician – Deployment Project (Florida)

Schedule:
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (1‑hour lunch)
Duration: 13 week project
Experience Level: Intermediate (2–5 years)
Pay Rate: $25/hr (PC Technician)
Why This Role Stands OutThis is a high‑visibility, IT deployment project supporting a large healthcare organization undergoing a major technology refresh.
We’re assembling a traveling team of PC Field Technicians to deploy endpoints. This role is ideal for hands‑on IT professionals who enjoy structured rollout work, regional travel, and making a direct impact in clinical and corporate environments.
What You’ll Be DoingAs a PC Field Technician, you’ll support end‑to‑end deployment execution and validation activities.
Key Responsibilities- Deploy laptops, desktops, and endpoint devices at clinical and corporate locations
- Support pilot deployments, full rollouts, and post‑deployment activities
- Remove and properly stage legacy equipment during refresh cycles
- Validate deployments for:
- Device connectivity
- Correct physical placement
- Full functionality
- Follow site‑specific instructions, schedules, and access requirements
- Document issues and deployment activity in ticketing systems
- Escalate technical or program issues through defined paths
- Maintain professionalism in regulated and patient‑facing environments
- Assist with quality assurance checks and site acceptance
All work aligns with standardized deployment and quality assurance best practices.
What We’re Looking For Required Skills & Experience- 2–5 years of corporate IT, desktop, or field support experience
- Hands‑on experience deploying Windows 10 PCs and laptops
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Active Directory
- Office 365 / O365
- Experience validating pre‑built system images (no image creation)
- Peripheral setup (monitors, docks, keyboards, mice)
- Basic hardware and connectivity troubleshooting
- Strong documentation and ticketing experience
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Experience supporting structured deployment or refresh projects
- Prior healthcare or regulated environment experience (helpful, not required)
- 100% onsite, travel‑based role within Orlando Florida and space coast.
- Comfortable working in clinical, healthcare‑adjacent, and office environments
- Able to support high‑volume, repetitive deployments while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
- Adherence to structured processes, readiness gates, and quality standards
- Motor vehicle record (MVR) check
- Background check
- Drug screening
- Medical compliance requirements (per healthcare site standards)
This is a Contract position based out of Orlando, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
