The OpportunityUCF is seeking a skilled Research Data Analyst II to play a vital role in advancing evidence-based teaching and learning through the Research Initiative for Teaching Effectiveness (RITE). The Research Data Analyst II will support RITE through collaboration with UCF faculty and other units across the Division of Distributed Learning (DDL) and the university. The ideal candidate will support leadership in making strategic, data-informed decisions by developing effective research designs, data collection approaches, and strategies for data management that align with clearly articulated research questions and ethical considerations for participants.
This is an Auxiliary (AUX) funded position. Employment is subject to availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.

Data Analyst II
- Assists in developing designs for research projects evaluating the impact of digital learning.
- Coordinates multiple data collection efforts for research projects.
- Develops data visualizations, presentations, and publications for internal and external audiences to disseminate research results.
- Collaborates with other units to obtain data for research initiatives.
- Assists in the coordination of learning analytics projects and implementing data insights for improving student success.
- Assists in locating external funding agencies and writing grant proposals to support research efforts.
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
Preferred Qualifications- A bachelor's degree in educational research or measurement, social sciences, statistics, data science, or a related field.
- Experience with statistical analysis software such as SPSS, SAS, R, or Excel.
- Experience with applications such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Program evaluation or research design experience.
- Demonstrated experience presenting and communicating research findings across various contexts.
- Experience collecting, organizing, analyzing and disseminating significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Working experience collaborating with multiple teams to accomplish goals.
- Experience applying quantitative and/or qualitative research methods in a higher education or educational research context.
