Senior Platform Engineer

NOTE: Looking for candidates with production application support + SQL + Windows Server + networking + vendor management experience.

Seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to provide advanced troubleshooting, production support, and operational ownership for critical enterprise technology platforms. This role will serve as a technical escalation point, partnering with vendors, infrastructure teams, networking, security, and business stakeholders to resolve complex issues and improve platform stability and reliability.

• 7+ years of advanced production/platform troubleshooting experience
  , including root cause analysis and complex incident resolution.
• Strong SQL experience with the ability to write queries and work with relational databases, preferably Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle
  .
• Solid working knowledge of Windows Server environments
  .
• Experience with cruise industry applications, including AMOS, Crunchtime, MXP, or Sea Care.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals
  , including data flows, connectivity, firewalls, ports, and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting vendor-based/third-party enterprise applications and coordinating technical issues with external vendors.
• Experience with incident, problem, and change management
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across business, infrastructure, security, networking, and vendor teams
  .
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
  , including after-hours support when required.

• Experience supporting cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  ; AWS EC2 exposure is a plus.
• Experience with Service Now or similar ITSM platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices
  .
• Experience supporting highly regulated or operationally complex environments.
• Industry experience in areas such as transportation, logistics, healthcare, risk management, marine operations, or maintenance systems
  .
• Experience with applications such as AMOS, Sea Care, Crunchtime, or MXP
  .

• Troubleshoot complex application, infrastructure, database, and connectivity issues and drive them through resolution.
• Serve as a technical escalation point for production incidents and vendor-supported platforms.
• Triage incidents, identify ownership, and coordinate with the appropriate technical teams.
• Perform day-to-day operational support to maintain platform availability, stability, and performance.
• Support testing and validation for software, infrastructure, and service-layer upgrades and releases.
• Partner with security and vendors to implement required security controls and remediation.
• Develop and implement automation and operational tools to improve platform administration and reliability.
• Participate in incident, problem, change, and release management activities.
• Support infrastructure upgrades, platform enhancements, and technology roadmap initiatives.
• Maintain technical and operational system documentation.
