This role is for a Technical Support and Systems Administration role at MFC supporting DoD critical programs on engineering networks and special test equipment in labs.
- Workstation administration on heterogeneous networks including Windows 11, Windows Server based domains
- Manage operating system cyber compliance, upgrades, and patching
- Perform guidance and management for hardware, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintenance on multiple architectures
- Ensure the integrity and availability of applications as well as coordinate new application installations, upgrades, and customer support in classified areas.
- Responsible for implementing effective backup/recovery, resource accounting, and auditing procedures.
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on varied IT hardware (PCs, printers, laptops, etc.).
- Implements security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures.
- Full-time onsite role, working the majority of the day in closed areas
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems, and information technology related responsibilities including design, development, and analysis of computer systems or programs based on and related to user or system design specifications; applying systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications.
Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
For positions that do not perform IT responsibilities, use E146, Systems Engineer.
- Active Security Clearance (investigation within the past 6 years)
- Must possess a valid IAT Level II or III DoD Approved 8140 (DoDD 8570) Certification,(Security+)
- Knowledge and experience with workstation administration of Windows, Active Directory domains, and/or Linux environments
- Demonstrated experience effectively performing in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Experience developing effective stakeholder and partner relationships
- Proven business acumen to manage multiple assignments and projects with the ability to balance technical requirements with business needs and affordability
- Demonstrated collaboration, including interpersonal and teaming skills
- Ability and willingness to accommodate occasional off-shift hours and travel
Working knowledge and previous working experience with SIPR network
- Active Secret clearance (investigation within the past 6 years)
- McAfee HBSS experience
- Experience building, operating, and maintaining secure operating system configurations as well as secure networks with demonstrated technical knowledge
- Experience working in Active Directory domains
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
