IT Manager

Kavaliro is seeking an IT Manager to support a client in Orlando, Florida. Pay: $110,000 to $120,000 annually

Required

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a closely related field. MCSE certification VMWare VCP

Required Experience:

Five (5) or more years of experience providing leadership or mentoring teams, including hands on experience, which are responsible for systems and/or network design, administration and support.

Five (5) or more years of progressively knowledgeable, responsible and skilled experience in systems and networking including the following areas:
Proven ability to design, architect, develop, and maintain a medium to large scale network and server environment.

Five (5) or more years of progressively knowledgeable and skilled experience in system administration.

Five (5) or more years of experience with:

• Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems.
• Active Directory administration and management (manage objects and groups).
• Virtualization technologies (VMware and Hyper-V)
• Backup technologies (Symantec Net Backup)
• Proven ability to supervise a team responsible for system administration or network activities.

Desired

Experience:

Experience with cloud computing:
Migration Installation Administration Knowledge of scripting languages (Windows Power Shell and VBScript).

Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License.

Ability to effectively lead a staff comprised of entry and journey level professionals engaged in the IT support of a large organization.

Ability to clearly communicate information both verbally and in writing.

Must possess in-depth advanced industry knowledge of System Administration tools, techniques and standards and be able to develop and apply that knowledge Thorough knowledge of the methods, tools, and techniques applied to diverse IT Support in complex multi-platform networked environments.

Thorough knowledge and experience with Help Desk management software, i.e. MS System Center Service Manager or other solution. Strong understanding of CMDB's. Thorough knowledge of the body of available and current information resources applicable to the department’s functions for technical research and development purposes. Thorough knowledge of various current technologies relevant to existing applications, systems and/or upcoming installations, e.g., Microsoft technologies;

programming / scripting languages; web, server, and voice/data network technologies.

Skill in reading and interpreting technical and trade journals, industry specific periodicals, product / manufacturer specifications, and related technical information and data. Ability to analyze, implement, maintain and repair new technological software and programs; ability to evaluate, diagnose and develop solutions to potential and real operational and system deficiencies to ensure continued and non-disrupted service to system users.

Ability to utilize personal computers, standard office equipment and standard software applications, e.g., word processors, database software, spreadsheet applications.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, division and department heads, public/private sector contacts, and County administration.

Ability to organize work, establish priorities, meet established deadlines, and follow up on assignments with a minimum of direction.
