About the job you're considering:
We are seeking an experienced Manual Tester with strong hardware testing expertise to support the validation of electronic door lock and smart access solutions used in hospitality environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience testing IoT, embedded devices, kiosks, POS systems, or other connected hardware products, along with strong manual testing fundamentals. This role requires onsite collaboration with engineering, product, operations, and vendor teams to validate hardware and software functionality, troubleshoot real-world issues, and ensure a seamless guest access experience.
Experience with Assa Abloy electronic lock systems and Vision line platform is highly preferred.
Your role:
Execute manual testing of electronic door lock systems, smart access solutions, RFID cards, mobile keys, and related hospitality workflows. Validate hardware and software functionality across access control scenarios including guest room access, common areas, privacy modes, deadbolt operations, battery alerts, and offline/online behavior. Perform end-to-end testing of IoT and embedded devices, ensuring seamless interaction between hardware, firmware, software applications, and integrated systems.
Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, test data, regression suites, and test execution reports based on business and technical requirements. Investigate, reproduce, document, and track defects using structured defect management processes, providing detailed evidence and root-cause observations. Collaborate with engineering, product management, operations, vendors, and support teams to diagnose issues, validate fixes, and support release readiness. Support onsite testing during installations, upgrades, configuration changes, pilot deployments, and production validation activities.
Your skills and experience: 8+ years of experience in Manual Testing with strong expertise in functional, integration, system, regression, and exploratory testing. Hands-on experience testing hardware-based products such as IoT devices, embedded systems, smart devices, kiosks, POS systems, access control solutions, or connected products. Strong understanding of defect lifecycle management, test documentation, test evidence creation, and reporting using tools such as Jira or similar test management platforms.
Experience troubleshooting issues across hardware, software, configuration, network, and environmental components to accurately isolate defects. Ability to interpret requirements, design effective test scenarios, and validate complex end-to-end workflows involving multiple integrated systems. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with experience working closely with cross-functional and customer-facing teams. Experience with Assa Abloy electronic lock solutions and Vision line platform is highly preferred;
hospitality technology or access control domain experience is a significant advantage.
