The Licensed Insurance Agent is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater Orlando. This role is responsible for educating individuals and employers about Colonial Life’s insurance products, assessing client needs, and recommending appropriate coverage solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with prospective and existing clients, presenting benefit options, preparing and processing applications, and ensuring a smooth enrollment experience. The agent will maintain ongoing relationships with clients, respond to inquiries, provide policy service, and collaborate with internal teams to support workplace benefits programs.
The role also includes staying informed about industry trends, compliance requirements, and product updates to provide accurate information and trusted guidance.
- Candidates should possess skills in Insurance Sales and Insurance to effectively explain products and close appropriate coverage solutions.
- Candidates should possess skills in Insurance Brokerage and Finance to navigate multiple carriers, interpret plan options, and support sound financial decisions.
- Candidates should possess strong Customer Service skills to build relationships, handle questions, and provide ongoing policy support.
- Active state insurance license (or ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe) is required.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse clients and business settings.
- Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to meet performance targets and manage a pipeline of leads and client accounts.
- Proficiency with basic office software and digital tools used for enrollment, CRM, and client communication.
- Prior experience in insurance, employee benefits, or related financial services is preferred but not required.
