Title: ASL Interpreter

Location: Orlando, FL

Contract: 12 Month Contract with potential extension

Citizenship Requirement: US Citizenship required

Shift: Part Time, 4 days per week

Pay: $45.00/hr - $60.00/hr on W2

• Provide accurate and timely ASL interpretation for deaf and hard-of-hearing employees in a machine shop.
• Facilitate communication between employees, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
• Interpret meetings, training sessions, and other work‑related activities.
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company's policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with others to ensure seamless communication.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics and standards.

• National certification as an ASL Interpreter (e.g., NIC, CI, or CT).
• 2+ years of experience as an ASL Interpreter in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Fluency in ASL and English.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, noisy environment with exposure to machinery and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to concentrate for extended periods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work a 4 days per week schedule.

• Experience working in a machine shop or similar industrial environment.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and safety protocols.
• Certification in specialized areas such as OSHA or industrial safety.

The ASL Interpreter will work in a machine shop environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and equipment. The interpreter must be able to navigate the shop floor safely and effectively.
