Overview
Holland & Knight LLP seeks a senior-level associate to join its dynamic Corporate M&A and Securities Practice. Ideal candidates will have 5-7 years of experience with an emphasis on M&A and private equity transactions. The candidate should have a strong working knowledge of acquisition agreements and the full suite of documentation used in M&A and private equity transactions, as well as proficiency in drafting and negotiating the same.
A proven track record supporting private equity sponsors and portfolio companies across the investment lifecycle (initial platform acquisitions, add-ons, portfolio company governance and exits) and familiarity with middle-market deal structures are strongly preferred. The candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a high degree of maturity and business sense, and the ability to effectively manage internal and external client relationships.
Excellent academic credentials are required, and large national or international law firm experience is preferred. Holland & Knight offers a collegial atmosphere with a large international platform and tangible opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
- Contribute to M&A and private equity transactions within the Corporate M&A and Securities Practice.
- Apply knowledge of acquisition agreements and related documentation; draft and negotiate transaction documents.
- Support private equity sponsors and portfolio companies across the investment lifecycle (platform acquisitions, add-ons, governance, exits).
- Navigate and work with middle-market deal structures.
- Manage internal and external client relationships with strong communication and professionalism.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in M&A/private equity transactions.
- JD from an ABA Accredited Law School.
- Must be licensed or ready to become licensed to practice law in Florida.
- Reside in the Orlando area at or prior to the time of hire; ability to work in the office at least three business days per week.
- Excellent academic credentials; experience at a large national or international law firm is preferred.
