Job Description
A respected Florida litigation firm is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney to join its growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven litigator who thrives in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment and values efficiency, ownership, and long-term professional growth.
What You'll Do- Represent insurer and insured clients through all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, hearings, mediations, and jury trials
- Manage a caseload with a strong emphasis on Bodily Injury defense, along with general liability and related insurance defense matters
- Develop litigation strategy, evaluate liability and damages, and provide clear, timely reporting to carriers and clients
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement-related materials with precision and efficiency
- Collaborate closely with partners, claims professionals, and support staff to achieve favorable, timely resolutions
- Active Florida Bar member in good standing
- 3-5 years of litigation experience, including jury trial exposure
- Bodily Injury defense experience strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of Florida state and federal court procedures
- Strong and continually developing research, writing, and communication skills
- Entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented mindset suited for a fast-paced practice
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat;
Time Matters experience is a plus
