We are seeking a Commercial Litigation & Bankruptcy Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience to join our growing legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys handling sophisticated civil litigation matters while gaining significant exposure to bankruptcy and creditors' rights work in a collaborative and supportive environment.

The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to build a long‑term practice with meaningful opportunities for professional growth and advancement.

• Handle a variety of commercial litigation matters through all phases of the litigation process.
• Assist with bankruptcy and creditors' rights matters, including representing creditors in bankruptcy proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other legal documents.
• Participate in case strategy, investigations, and factual analysis.
• Manage discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and court proceedings.
• Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.
• Collaborate closely with shareholders and other attorneys to develop litigation strategy and deliver exceptional client service.
• Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing with the applicable state bar.
• 2-4 years of experience in commercial litigation, bankruptcy, insurance defense, or a related litigation practice.
• Bankruptcy and creditors' rights experience is preferred; candidates with a strong interest in developing this practice area are encouraged to apply.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and sound judgment.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team‑oriented practice.
• Ability to handle 1800 billable hours annually.

• Experience handling matters from initial pleadings through resolution.
• Courtroom, hearing, or deposition experience.
• Strong organizational and client relationship skills.
• Desire to grow professionally within a collaborative and expanding practice.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
