Position SummaryThe Supply Chain Document Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring hospital departments receive the supplies they need—accurately, efficiently, and on time. This role supports the flow of materials that directly impact patient care by managing receiving, shipping, documentation, and inventory coordination.
Key Responsibilities- Receive, verify, and inspect incoming shipments against shipping documents
- Coordinate dock traffic and act as first point of contact for carriers
- Prepare outgoing shipments, returns, and repair materials
- Ensure accurate labeling, documentation, and purchase order processing
- Enter and maintain supply chain data in system platforms
- Collaborate with Purchasing and Clinical Engineering on equipment and supply needs
- Identify and resolve shipping discrepancies and damaged goods
- Support smooth distribution of critical supplies across hospital departments
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of experience in warehousing, shipping/receiving, or supply chain operations
- Basic computer skills required
- Strong communication skills preferred
- Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, or dock equipment a plus
- Familiarity with supply chain management systems preferred
