You’ll Do
The Counter Sales Representative will be responsible for selling electrical supplies, various parts, and equipment at specific counter locations. This includes facilitating moving products throughout the warehouse through equipment in areas such as Receiving, Stocking, Shipping, Order Processing and Replenishment.
You Will- Determine the make and type of product needed.
- Discuss use and features of various parts.
- Research replacement part stock number and price.
- Fill customer orders from stock.
- Place special orders and branch transfers for nonstock orders or backorders.
- Receive payment or obtain credit authorization.
- Advise customers on substitution or modification of part when replacement is not available.
- Receive and fill telephone orders.
- Assist customers with gathering their material and loading the material in their vehicle.
- Make proactive telephone calls to potential new customers and existing customers.
- Greet customers in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Operate computers to order, enter and retrieve data.
- Sort and place material or items on racks, shelves, or in bins.
- Construct orders based on delivery area preventing stock from being damaged on delivery.
- Box up and label material.
- Examine returned part to determine if defective, and exchange part or refund money.
- Assist in organizing counter Verify correct quantities and items for all sections.
Education and/or
Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1 year or more related customer service-oriented experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong math and reading skills Forklift Certification preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) in South Florida Region.
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 50 lbs.
- Frequently requires standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching with arms, and constant use of hands.
- Ability to stand on feet for majority of an 8-hour day.
- Continuous mental and visual alertness to maintain safety and achieve accuracy.
- Requires flexibility and mobility in body movements.
- Occasionally, may be required to lift items greater than 50 lbs. with assistance.
