Position Summary
Inventory Coordinator III responsible for coordinating and assisting with daily inventory management and control for procedural supply areas. Using analytical tools to accurately capture spend and utilization data (Lawson, Epic, Excel) supporting inventory control and management.

- Location: St. Petersburg, Florida
- Position Type: Full‑time
- Schedule: First Shift, days, 40 hours/week, potential overtime, evenings, weekends, holidays as needed.
- Provide supply management for OR/Specialty areas by maintaining, monitoring, adjusting, and replenishing inventory, processing requisitions, tracking and expediting orders, and assisting with new product requests and conversions.
- Process consignment requisitions accurately and timely, including contract verification, and work with vendors on unauthorized supplies, documentation issues, and revised pricing.
- Research and implement opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce costs, evaluate and adjust par levels, and manage expired and obsolete inventory.
- Maintain and update order guides/par areas, organize storeroom/supply areas, and update labeling systems.
- Work with corporate on item additions/activations, contract issues, and Epic item integrity.
- Process non‑stock order requisitions accurately and timely, following up as needed and collaborating with purchasing.
- Review procedural area schedules for future cases requiring special supplies such as implants.
- Drive approved conversions to completion and assist with coordinating new product trials and conversions.
- Coordinate or collaborate in the tissue tracking system as agreed upon by the facility, market, or organization.
- Participate in and exceed departmental and individual goals.
- Oversee recall notifications and act when required; send affected inventory information to procurement for returns.
- Perform daily reviews of on‑hand quantities, caseload schedule, and physician needs.
- Communicate with procedural teams to resolve supply issues, re‑establish par levels, or reconcile products on shelves or specialty carts.
- Serve as liaison for Supply Chain, vendors, service line specialists, and Nursing Operations Manager to improve efficiency and customer service.
- Facilitate product substitutions with service line specialists, Nursing Operations Manager, and Corporate Resource Analyst.
- Maintain the reconciliation of borrowed/loaned products between departments or other facilities.
- Verify receipt of all shipments ordered through the requisition process; receive, open boxes, and restock supplies promptly.
- Perform all aspects of the Bill Only process.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers to ensure needs are met and respond to requests in a timely manner.
- Take ownership of assignments, acting as the primary resource and support for clinical colleagues in procedural/specialty areas.
- Actively update and manage inventory and par levels for annual inventory.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance and comply with Orlando Health policies, ADA, FMLA, and federal, state, and local standards.
- Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- Participate in Corporate Surgical Supply Chain meetings and coordinate activities with other facilities to support standardization efforts.
- Participate in continuing quality improvement strategies.
- Case picking and put‑away when necessary.
- Update preference cards as needed.
- Participate in various committees.
- Analyze and interpret data and take action.
- Manage multiple priorities and projects independently.
- Handle stressful situations.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Warehouse organization and operational experience desired.
- Computer literacy including MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Six (6) years of related experience within an inventory management environment.
- An associate's degree may substitute for up to two (2) years of the required experience.
- A bachelor's degree may substitute for up to four (4) years of the required experience.
