The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the transportation and distribution of food and beverage products from manufacturing facilities, warehouses, ports, and distribution centers to customers. The role ensures timely deliveries, compliance with food safety regulations, cost‑effective transportation, and efficient inventory movement while maintaining product quality throughout the supply chain.
Responsibilities- Analyze logistics KPIs such as on‑time delivery, transportation costs, carrier performance, etc.
- Coordinate inland transportation activities including truck, rail, and intermodal shipments.
- Schedule and track inbound and outbound deliveries to warehouses, distribution centers, and customers.
- Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, warehouse teams, suppliers, and customer service regarding shipment status.
- Monitor and track transportation performance, delivery timelines, and freight costs.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, cold‑chain requirements, and transportation regulations.
- Investigate and resolve delivery delays, product damages, shortages, and transportation issues.
- Maintain accurate logistics data in ERP, TMS, or warehouse management systems.
- Coordinate inventory transfers between plants, warehouses, port, etc.
- Support demand planning and supply chain teams to ensure product availability.
- Working with the shipment’s lines
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–5 years of logistics, transportation, or supply chain experience, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
- Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ocean import knowledge
- Inland transportation/Trucking knowledge – at least 2-3 years of experience
- Understanding of food safety regulations, cold‑chain logistics, and inventory management principles.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
