Job Description Summary

The Cleaner will work under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor and perform a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services. Such duties shall be in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures of C&W Services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other surfaces inside buildings.
• Operate light and heavy floor buffers and shampoo machines, including attachments.
• Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas, spot clean daily, and shampoo rugs as directed. Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trims, light fixtures, and other horizontal surfaces, including periodic high dusting.
• Wash windowsills and glass in interior doors, partitions, and specified windows.
• Clean glass and trims at entrance doors, both interior and exterior. Spot clean interior walls daily as appropriate.
• Clean bathrooms and restock supplies daily, including wiping glass surfaces, emptying waste baskets, servicing soap and toilet paper dispensers, dusting sills, cleaning tile walls, shelves, stall partitions, and floors.
• Monitor for defects such as clogged urinals and lights out, reporting issues to supervisors.
• Collect building trash daily, placing it in approved containers and designated collection areas.
• Replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers as per specifications.
• Sweep or shovel snow from steps and walkways at building entrances and connecting paths as directed.
• Perform periodic tasks such as high dusting, polishing leather and wood surfaces, and wall washing.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• No previous experience required for basic cleaning responsibilities.
• Ability to follow directions, work with minimal supervision, and cooperate as part of a team.
• Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment, including a backpack-style vacuum cleaner.
• Attention to detail, pride in service, organization, and high energy and endurance levels.
