Responsibilities

Central Florida Behavioral Hospital is a 174-bed, private psychiatric center located in Orlando, FL. The hospital provides 24‑hour emergency services and offers a continuum of care including inpatient treatment for children, adolescents, and adults, as well as partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and ECT services for adults.

The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of duties in and around the facility buildings, repairing, inspecting, and maintaining equipment and machinery. The Technician assists the Director of Plant Operations in completing tasks.

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks in accordance with departmental procedures.
• Complete weekly inventory of maintenance items for all trades.
• Check lighting in and around the buildings and make repairs as necessary.
• Maintain 100% adherence to department inspection schedules and procedures.
• Complete work orders.

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade or vocational school preferred.
• Knowledge of facility maintenance, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, commercial door hardware, and landscape maintenance.
