JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for driving the interactive process for assigned reasonable medical and religious accommodation requests for Team Members. Additionally, will serve as a liaison between Team Members and key partners (including Talent & Culture, Legal, EHS, Health Services, Workers Compensation, Operations Leadership, and third-party leave administrator). This position also works to ensure compliance with applicable leave and accommodation laws and maintains employee leave and accommodation files and documentation.

MAJOR

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Drives the interactive process for assigned reasonable accommodation requests to identify and recommend accommodation solutions in compliance with applicable leave and accommodation laws, including Title VII, FMLA, FEHA, USERRA, PWFA, and ADA. Implements and documents accommodations made, and monitors effectiveness as needed.
  • Responsible for collaborating and communicating with internal partners (Operations Leadership, Health Services, Talent & Culture, Legal, EHS, and Worker’s Compensation) and external partners (leave administration, Color vision) for reasonable accommodation matters within assigned requests.
  • Engages in interactive conversations with Team Members. Drafts and sends communication throughout the process via various communication channels. Maintains accurate and confidential records. Ensures documentation is complete, secure, and in compliance with legal and company requirements.
  • Reviews job duties, essential functions, and work environments through job shadowing and touring work locations with Team Members, Talent & Culture, and operations leadership for assigned business areas to help identify feasible accommodation options. Escalates potential job or workplace modifications to Accommodations Leadership for further evaluation.
  • Responds to inquiries about leaves of absence, benefits, payroll questions, policy interpretations, and Employee Assistance Programs with navigation assistance to applicable internal partners.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology or Business Management is required.
EXPERIENCE:
  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience with knowledge of accommodations and disability principles or 1+ year of accommodations and disability-focused experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
  • Experience applying state and federal laws and regulations governing the provision of fair employment for persons who may need a religious or medical accommodation, including Title VII, FMLA, FEHA, USERRA, PWFA, and ADA.
  • Ability to review and interpret various forms of supporting medical or clinical documentation provided to accompany accommodation requests.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various partners and stakeholders, e.g., Team Members, Operations Leadership, Talent & Culture, Legal, EHS, and Workers Compensation.
  • Approachable and professional demeanor with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement when dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively, think independently to solve problems and promptly escalate when necessary.
  • Strong skills in building relationships and proficiency in collaboration across the organization to achieve goals.

  • Schedule flexibility with availability to work on weekends, holidays, or evenings, if needed.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, One Note).
  • This position is based in Orlando and will support accommodations across multiple UDX divisions, including UOR, USH, UPE, Creative, and New Ventures.
