General Superintendent

Job Description

One of Insight Global's clients is looking to hire for a General Superintendent to support their ongoing growth in the Florida market.

This individual will directly and indirectly oversees profitable installation of project work by managing subordinate superintendents and other trades. The General Superintendent will be responsible for multiple large projects and ensuring that all planning, safety, cost and productivity is being met on the job site(s). They are also responsible for instilling a safe, high quality and productive (SQP) culture to their team below.

This is a fully onsite role will require frequent travel to job sites across Florida. This individual can sit local to any of the client's offices in Ft. Lauderdale, Tampa, Orlando or Jacksonville.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management/Engineering and 15+ years of relevant construction industry experience

• Previous experience as a superintendent or sr. superintendent

• Knowledge of formwork and line & grade in concrete construction

• Demonstrated ability to deliver successful results on complex multimillion dollar projects

• Strong communication and leadership skills; must be able to interact with and direct subcontractors/tradespeople. Will be overseeing multiple superintendents and will have to clearly communicate goals across multiple projects

• Strong organizational skills; allocation of manpower and resources to multiple job locations across the state

• Clean background and driving record; ability and willingness to travel across the state - Craft or trade certifications (NCCER, OSHA, ACI)
