Associate Market General Manager
Chen Med

Join our team and help transform healthcare for seniors by leading the day‑to‑day operations of multiple medical centers. This role requires a strategic, customer‑focused leader who can manage large budgets, drive growth, and foster a culture of high performance.

Job Duties / Responsibilities
  • Owns and operates an average annual budget of over $50M for multiple medical centers, staffing up to 150 employees and regularly servicing up to 10,000 patients per year.
  • Designs, develops, and implements ongoing strategy for operational excellence and growth within the centers.
  • Provides training and development for Center leaders, ensuring ongoing coaching for future mobility.
  • Partners with the Regional President to support high‑quality, cost‑effective, VIP service for clinical outcomes.
  • Executes key operational outcomes to meet/exceed customer, provider, and regulatory expectations.
  • Communicates a clear understanding of key scorecard measurements and total quality initiatives.
  • Mentors, coaches, and develops operation teams; grows the team to match business needs.
  • Handles escalated issues and determines proper resolution.
  • Leads growth strategy for each center around disenrollment.
  • Works comfortably with financial statements and concepts in a service organization.
  • Monitors office communication and performance to ensure efficient, accurate, customer‑focused operations.
  • Conducts performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Ensures proper patient flow and accurate data handling throughout the care process.
  • Collaborates with leaders to increase and retain membership.
  • Applies a bias toward frugality and creativity for operational problem solving.
  • Utilizes business acumen to understand and drive the business.
  • Collaborates with leaders on strategic business planning.
  • Demonstrates ownership, driving center success across people, finance, service, growth, and outcomes.
  • Maintains awareness of the competitive healthcare environment and drives retention and exceptional service.
  • Assists clinical providers with scheduling and correspondence as needed.
  • Reviews reports to ensure target metrics are achieved and processes are followed.
  • Conducts walk‑throughs of Centers to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Highly developed business acumen and relationship management skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of strategic planning, resource allocation, HR modeling, leadership, and operations.
  • Experience managing an entity equal to or exceeding $40M in annual revenue.
  • Superior customer service principles and standards.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements governing clinic activities.
  • Proven record of driving revenue growth and controlling expenses.
  • Effective influencer of executives and leaders across functions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Deep understanding of business controls and operations.
  • High emotional intelligence, integrity, and a results‑driven work ethic.
  • Passionate about delivering VIP experiences.
  • Self‑starter with creative thinking and effectiveness.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other common software.
  • Willingness to travel locally and regionally up to 50%; nationwide up to 10%.
  • Spoken and written fluency in English.
  • Capacity for independent judgment.
Education and Experience Criteria
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, public administration, finance, economics, or related field (additional experience may substitute).
  • MBA or master’s in healthcare or a related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of healthcare administration, budget management, finance, or closely related experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of direct management/leadership experience in a customer/client service environment.
  • Experience managing diverse functional groups strongly preferred.
  • Experience overseeing a multi‑million‑dollar P&L highly desired.
Pay Range

$166,652 - $238,075 Salary (base). Final compensation depends on experience, education, geographic location, and additional factors; eligibility for bonuses or commissions.
