Description
You will be the Contracts Management Manager supporting the Rotary Wing Sensors programs within the Sensors & Global Sustainment Line of Business for MFC. Our team is responsible for providing strategic contract management and negotiation leadership to ensure compliance, efficient administration, and excellent customer relationships.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Contracts Management Manager, you will be responsible for providing overall leadership and strategic direction for the contract management and negotiation function. You will organize and manage day‑to‑day contract management and negotiation activities, ensuring contract compliance and efficient contract administration.
- Building and maintaining high-value customer relationships with DoD government, international, and commercial customers
- Advising management on contractual rights, obligations, and risks
- Compiling and analyzing data, and maintaining historical information
- Managing and participating in contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities
- Participating in proposal preparation and developing mitigation strategies for proposal submittals
- Evaluating contract performance and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations
- Overseeing the execution of final contract documents and maintaining communications with stakeholders
- Experience with US Government and/or international customers and contracts
- Experience with contract negotiations
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Knowledge and documented application of acquisition regulations (FAR & DFARS)
- Ability to effectively lead a team
- Focus on developing talent and training staff
- Proposal preparation experience
- Generally has 8+ years of related experience and may have a post‑secondary degree or training in a related discipline
- Experience negotiating and managing complex development and production contracts
- Proven ability to develop trusted partnerships with internal and external customers
- Knowledge of Cost Type, Fixed Price, and Incentive Fee contracting types
- Ability to engage in routine and unique problems/issues to help develop solutions for multi‑million‑dollar complex contracts
- Ability to coordinate DCAA and DCMA activities including audits, financing payments, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Experience working autonomously with general direction
- Experience handling multiple, widely‑varied assignments
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Experience problem solving, including identifying issues and developing solutions
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced team environment and work well under pressure
- Demonstrates emotional intelligence, positivity, and enthusiasm leading a team and working collaboratively with key stakeholders during a project
Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a secret clearance.
