Key Responsibilities Asset & Portfolio Management
- Lead asset management strategy across a multifamily development and stabilized portfolio.
- Develop and execute business plans to maximize property performance, investor returns, and long-term asset value.
- Monitor operational performance including occupancy, rental rates, concessions, expense management, collections, and resident retention.
- Oversee lease-up strategy and stabilization efforts for newly developed communities.
- Analyze property financials, operating statements, KPIs, and market trends to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Drive NOI growth through revenue optimization and operational efficiencies.
- Prepare and present asset-level reporting, portfolio reviews, and investor presentations.
- Review annual budgets, forecasts, capital plans, and reforecasts in partnership with property management and finance teams.
- Evaluate hold/sell/refinance strategies and provide recommendations to executive leadership.
- Oversee capital improvement initiatives and ROI analysis.
- Support financing, refinancing, and disposition efforts through financial analysis and due diligence coordination.
- Manage and mentor asset management team members while fostering a high-performance culture.
- Partner with development and construction teams during pre-development, construction, and transition to operations.
- Collaborate with third-party property management companies to ensure operational excellence and execution of ownership objectives.
- Maintain strong relationships with lenders, investors, consultants, and ownership partners.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support operational and investment decisions.
- Identify trends impacting multifamily operations, development, and capital markets.
- Assist with strategic growth initiatives and portfolio expansion opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, Accounting, or related field required; MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of multifamily asset management experience with exposure to development and lease-up assets preferred.
- Strong understanding of multifamily operations, budgeting, financial analysis, and investment strategy.
- Experience managing institutional-quality multifamily portfolios.
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in Excel, Yardi, Entrata, Real Page, or similar property management/reporting systems.
