JOB TITLE: DATA TRAINING SPECIALIST

2), as mandated by law. Qualified applicants who receive a conditional offer will be provided with step-by-step instructions and timelines for completing the screening process.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
  • This position is responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and approving in-kind submissions.
  • Uses data extracts of submissions to identify training needs, prepares guidance, and delivers on-site and remote training and technical assistance to parents, staff, and site leaders in support of increasing contributions with accurate recordkeeping.
  • Provides on-site and remote training and technical assistance in group or individual sessions.
  • Assists in the development and revision of policies and procedures related to in-kind record-keeping processes and requirements. All work must meet the Office of Head Start’s standards and regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Maintains knowledge of current in-kind regulations and requirements set by the Office of Head Start and expert knowledge in use of the approved database for collection of in-kind data.
  • Provides training and ongoing technical assistance to Site Manager, Site Owners/Directors, program staff, and parents regarding in-kind processes, time frames, and requirements.
  • Trains parents in using the database parent portal and assists them with the in-kind entry process and requirements. Interacts with and trains parents on-site in classrooms as requested or identified by need.
  • Provides timely responses to parents, staff, or others' requests for assistance or training with in-kind processes, requirements, time frames, or database use questions.
