This position requires a CBP seal. Orlando, FL CBP requires US citizenship or US permanent resident status.

Position Overview

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the safe and cost-effective use of facility equipment and labor within control of this position. Ensure staff are compliant with Inland's policy of superior service and satisfaction while maintaining compliance with all written company and government rules and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Participate and exchange ideas in meetings and conference calls as required keeping the Operations at your location updated on new developments.
  • Ensure your station is focused on achieving optimal customer service, customer retention and customer relationships to maintain quality of service.
  • Assist the General Manager and/or Operations Manager with station audits, provide information needed for reports, and handle all airline and FAA questions/concerns as required.
  • Assist the Base General Manager in hiring, scheduling and training; recommend discipline and promotion of employees to new duties and responsibilities.
  • Audit and maintain that all station activities are conducted to guarantee the highest level of employee and equipment safety for protection of assets, sustaining regulatory compliance and supporting company mission, values, and purpose.
Required Skills and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years experience in a “Lead” role preferred.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills to manipulate multiple projects and conflicting deadlines at once.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to listen to others and value opinions, interpret information, promote and execute ideas, prepare reports and presentations, lead groups and provide foundation of open communication are required.
  • Intermediate computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Knowledge of converting kilos and pounds, tariff book usage and rate application.
  • Must obtain a CBP seal;
    Orlando, FL CBP requires US citizenship or US permanent resident status.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for this position.
Work Environment
  • Office environment with the potential of remaining seated for extended periods of time.
  • Continuous use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse.
  • Warehouse – physically strenuous, prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to noise (may be excessive at times), safe but potentially unpleasant odors, varying temperatures and humidity, in and around heavy moving equipment.
  • Outdoor – prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to prevalent weather, dust, dirt, fuel, fumes and noise, in or around heavy equipment and moving vehicles.
  • May be exposed to hazards inherent in airport operations, including noise, vehicles, equipment, and weather, all of which are well-managed with a high level of training, personal protective equipment, and safety procedures.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to squat, stoop, kneel, bend, stretch, crawl in awkward positions.
  • Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 55 pounds at times, but not in excess of 75 pounds.
  • May be exposed to loud noises, harmful materials and dangerous equipment or machinery.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
