About the Role:

The Director of Maintenance (DOM) serves as the FAA-designated Director of Maintenance under 14 CFR Part 119 and is responsible for the overall leadership, administration, regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and financial stewardship of GlobalX's aircraft maintenance organization.

This leadership role provides strategic direction and oversight for a 24-hour, 7-day-per-week maintenance operation supporting GlobalX's scheduled, charter, government, and ad hoc flight operations. The Director ensures the continued airworthiness, safety, reliability, and operational readiness of the fleet while maintaining full compliance with FAA regulations, approved maintenance programs, manufacturer requirements, Operations Specifications, and company policies.

The Director leads all maintenance functions, including Line Maintenance, Heavy Maintenance, Maintenance Control, Maintenance Planning, Engineering coordination, Technical Records, Reliability Programs, Continuous Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS), and Contract Maintenance. This position works collaboratively with Flight Operations, Operations Control Center (OCC), Safety, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Finance, and third-party maintenance providers to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient operations while fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Regulatory Compliance & Airworthiness

  • Serve as the FAA-designated Director of Maintenance in accordance with 14 CFR Part 119.
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable FAA regulations, including Parts 43, 65, 91, 119, 121, and 145, as well as manufacturer maintenance requirements, Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins, and company maintenance programs.
  • Maintain oversight of the General Maintenance Manual (GMM), approved maintenance programs, and Operations Specifications.
  • Lead FAA inspections, audits, surveillance activities, and certificate management while serving as the primary company representative for all maintenance-related regulatory matters.
  • Ensure all aircraft are maintained in an airworthy condition without compromising safety or regulatory compliance.

Operational Leadership

  • Provide leadership for GlobalX's continuous 24/7 maintenance organization.
  • Direct all scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance activities, including line maintenance, heavy maintenance, Maintenance Control, maintenance planning, engineering coordination, technical records, reliability, and contract maintenance.
  • Ensure leadership coverage and effective escalation procedures during nights, weekends, holidays, Aircraft-on-Ground (AOG) events, and irregular operations.
  • Partner with operational departments to maximize aircraft availability, dispatch reliability, and overall operational performance.
  • Provide leadership during operational disruptions to support safe and timely recovery of flight operations.

Fleet Reliability & Maintenance Programs

  • Develop and execute long-term maintenance strategies to maximize aircraft reliability, safety, and lifecycle performance.
  • Lead fleet reliability initiatives through data-driven analysis, CASS oversight, predictive maintenance strategies, repeat discrepancy reduction, corrosion prevention programs, structural inspection compliance, airworthiness limitation management, and configuration control.
  • Monitor maintenance trends and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance reliability while reducing operational disruptions.

Financial & Strategic Leadership

  • Develop, manage, and monitor departmental operating and capital budgets while maintaining cost-effective maintenance operations.
  • Establish performance metrics and executive dashboards to monitor maintenance performance, safety, compliance, reliability, productivity, and financial results.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, process optimization, and digital transformation efforts that improve operational efficiency and maintenance effectiveness.
