Blue Man Group Orlando is looking for a full‑time Head of Lighting & Video.

The Head of Lighting & Video is responsible for the day‑to‑day management of the Lighting and Video Department, overseeing all video and lighting technical elements, show crew running tracks, and all technical and safety aspects. The role includes construction, repair, purchase, and maintenance of all lighting and video equipment, as well as consumable items. The Head also participates in hiring, training, corrective action, termination, evaluation, performance development, and scheduling of all department members.

• Manage the Lighting and Video team and oversee department operations.
• Ensure that Blue Man Group values and artistic vision are understood and supported across the organization.
• Create and maintain the department schedule, ensuring coverage and maintenance for all shows.
• Manage training of all members, providing ongoing training for consistency and engagement.
• Create a healthy workplace environment with the Production team and community.
• Provide feedback to Stage Management on all lighting and video cue tracks and maintain updated crew run sheets.
• Operate the show safely, professionally, timely, and efficiently.
• Maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Execute or ensure repair, construction, maintenance, restocking, and organization of all lighting and video supplies as needed.
• Incorporate changes to lighting and video tracks and procedures as directed.
• Maintain the departmental budget, use purchase orders and submit receipts.
• Create and execute show contingency plans.
• Adhere to safety rules and regulations, following OSHA standards.
• Support gigs and marketing events.
• Oversee department payroll.
• Design, organize, and supervise the set‑up of lighting and video elements and crew as needed.
• Participate in load‑in and load‑out and assist Production Management, Stage Management or other positions as needed.
• Participate in required health and safety classes and emergency rescue procedure training.
• Contribute to a safe and positive working environment, following Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group standards, values, policies, and regulations pertaining to safety.
• Assist other departments when necessary for cross‑departmental support.
• Perform all other work‑related duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Digital Arts or a similar field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• At least 5 years of previous experience in a similar environment.
• Previous leadership experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of Lighting and Video.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead a team in high‑pressure environments.
• Project Management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in low‑light environments.
• In‑depth knowledge and operation of high‑end systems.
