A Day in the Life The Operations Manager position is to manage the day-to-day operations of all technical service lines and the personnel at our Orlando, Florida office location. The primary technical service areas currently practiced within the Orlando office include site assessment and remediation, compliance and engineering, and natural resource management. It will be the responsibility of the Operations Manager to produce quality deliverables and work product in accordance with applicable standards and the industry standard of care while maintaining the Orlando Office P&L.

It will also be the responsibility of the Operations Manager to ensure that profitable work is consistently produced by each service line in a safe, organized cost-effective manner.

The Operations Manager reports to the Regional Vice President.

To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:

Corporate Administration Support and advocate for all corporate policies, procedures, objectives, and company values.

Attend leadership and department meetings to provide operational updates, recommendations, and planning information aligned with the Corporate Strategic Growth Plan.

Collaborate with corporate functional leaders in Accounting, Human Resources, Marketing, Safety, Information Technology, and Administration to ensure operational alignment and achievement of company goals.

Communicate operational risks, compliance concerns, and recommended corrective actions to the Regional Vice President and corporate leadership.

Ensure timely resolution of issues involving corporate policies, procedures, and employee compliance.

Support the development, tracking, and reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate key performance and financial indicators.

Lead or participate in special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by the Regional Vice President.

Operations Management Direct and manage the day-to-day operations of all Orlando office technical service lines, including Site Assessment & Remediation, Compliance & Engineering, and Natural Resource Management.

Develop, implement, and monitor operational goals, targets, and performance metrics aligned with corporate growth objectives.

Ensure Service Line Managers develop and maintain workforce plans that support business demand, strategic initiatives, and staffing requirements.

Oversee annual service line budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Monitor office workload, resource allocation, and staffing utilization to maximize operational effectiveness.

Manage office backlog through monthly project estimate-to-complete reviews and Salesforce pipeline analysis.

Conduct routine operations planning meetings to review workloads, forecasts, staffing needs, operational performance, and corporate initiatives.

Evaluate and recommend capital equipment purchases and staffing investments through cost-benefit analysis and financial justification.

Coordinate recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning activities with Human Resources and Service Line Managers.

Ensure all operations are conducted safely and in compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
