Description
Works with production personnel to fill upholstery carts with material needed per boat model and deliver them to production cells. Control material inventory by learning Kanban system, documenting and communicating shortages or outages.
Duties and Responsibilities- Fill upholstery carts with foam, substrate, vinyl, and any other material needed depending on cell and boat model
- Stock foam parts and substrates and put them in appropriate location
- Document items that are low in stock
- Assist leads in gathering necessary materials and/or vinyl
- Make sure water jugs for steamers are always filled and available
- Efficiently organize upholstery racks
- Assist in cutting decorative vinyl panels
- Any other duties as assigned by management

- Must be able to perform tasks under time pressure deadlines

Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand - Must be able to count to help with inventory control
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Technical or vocational certification in warehouse programs
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in warehouse or manufacturing facilities
- Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature
- Must be able to bend at waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to climb into and out of interior of boats
- Must be able to wear proper safety equipment as needed
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds when necessary
- The ability to see details at close range
- Be able to use and maintain small hand tools (grinder, scraper, razor knife, blower, etc.)
