Upholstery Technician

Revology Cars is hiring an experienced Upholstery Technician to build and install world-class, premium-quality interiors for its reproduction classic Mustangs.

• Revology Cars restores  Ford® Mustang® and Shelby® GT automobiles.
• Launched in 2014, Revology Cars now has over 160 employees, clients in 18 countries, and has maintained revenue growth of over 50% per year for the past five years.
• Revology Cars has private equity backing and significant growth ambitions over the next 3-5 years.

• An upholstery technician at Revology Cars will make between $54,080-$72,800 per year, depending on their skills and experience.
• This is not a flat rate job. The pay is stable, and you don't have to worry about not being assigned enough hours.
• The workweek is 6:45 am to 3:15 pm, Monday through Friday.
• We offer company-sponsored medical, dental, and vision coverage.
• 80 hours paid time off (PTO) starts accruing immediately after hire.

• Upholstery technicians at Revology Cars create world‑class premium interiors for 1960s Mustang automobiles.
• The upholstery department cuts, sews, and fits leather seat upholstery, trims seats, and wraps interior trim panels in leather and vinyl.
• Some upholstery techs also install carpet, interior trim panels, and/or convertible tops.
• We use premium OEM materials, including Nappa leather from Mercedes, Porsche, Ferrari, and Rolls‑Royce, and 100% wool square weave carpet.
• The variety of available jobs means there is a path to career growth as technicians become more skilled.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of five (5) years of upholstery experience
• Capable of taking patterns and making templates from scratch
• Capable of using single and double needle machines
  
  Capable of inspecting hides and knowledge of common defects
• Capable of solving problems
• Experienced machine operator
• Ability and willingness to learn and follow safety rules and procedures
• Ability to perform manual labor, standing and walking much of the time, and with a certain amount of manual dexterity
• Ability to maneuver into, around, and about vehicles or components on an assembly line. Tasks may require a certain amount of reaching, twisting, and bending
• Ability to learn, remember, and maintain pace of steps involved in performing a job after instruction, training, and familiarization with the tasks
• Ability and willingness to understand and follow instructions, both verbal and written
• Ability to perceive differences in very specific details when inspecting parts or work performed, checking for defects or quality issues, or when distinguishing various parts/components by identification number or code
• Ability and willingness to work in a team environment, including helping coworkers, maintaining and promoting a safe work environment, treating coworkers with dignity and respect regardless of personal differences, and accepting and following instructions and requests from leadership
• Preferred candidates will have experience installing and adjusting convertible tops
• Able to plan, organize, and manage work effectively
• Ability and willingness to follow work instructions and do things the same way, to the same high standard of quality, every time
• All positions require familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to use, or willingness to learn how to use, an iPad
