Mechanical & Electrical Assembler
We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Mechanical & Electrical Assembler to join a growing production team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and is eager to build technical skills in a manufacturing environment. You will assemble, test, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components while receiving on-the-job training and opportunities for long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble electrical and mechanical components using 3D models, work instructions, blueprints, and schematics
- Perform wiring, soldering, crimping, and basic mechanical assembly
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized shop equipment
- Conduct visual and functional inspections to ensure quality and specification compliance
- Perform basic functional testing on assembled systems and components
- Identify and correct minor assembly issues; elevate complex problems as needed
- Accurately complete production documentation, work logs, and records
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe workstations and tool areas
- Follow all safety procedures and regulatory requirements
- Work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment
- Operate independently with minimal supervision once trained
- Participate in ongoing training to expand technical and assembly skills
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in electrical or mechanical assembly
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
- Willingness to learn and follow detailed work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Vocational or technical training in electrical or mechanical assembly
- Experience with shop equipment such as band saws, drill presses, disk sanders, bench grinders, and arbor presses
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings
- Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
- Experience using measurement tools (calipers, multimeters, etc.)
- Exposure to CNC, CAD, or CAM tools (e.g., Solid Works, Autodesk Inventor, Fusion)
- Experience with 3D printing
- Familiarity with Brother or Brady label machines
Key Responsibilities
- Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of materials, components, subassemblies, and assemblies to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards.
- Inspect hardware using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and rulers.
- Interpret and apply engineering drawings, GD&T (ASME Y14.5), and inspection criteria to determine product conformity.
- Accurately document inspection results in manufacturing routers, quality records, and ERP systems
. - Initiate, document, and process Nonconforming Material Reports (NMRs) in accordance with established procedures.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, Project Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues and ensure process compliance.
- Communicate inspection findings and supplier quality concerns to buyers and other cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support interactions with customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies as needed.
- Maintain flexibility to support business needs, including occasional work outside normal schedules.
- Minimum 3 years of quality control inspection experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience working within a Quality Management System compliant with ISO 9001 and AS9100
. - Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
. - Hands‑on experience using standard inspection and measurement tools
. - Proven ability to identify, document, and report nonconformances
. - High school diploma or GED.
- U.S. citizenship required
.
- Associate’s degree or technical certification in Quality, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field
. - Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 standards.
- Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements.
- Experience with root cause analysis and CAPA methodologies.
- ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and 5S
. - Experience with advanced inspection equipment
