Machine Operator employees are responsible for the operation of multiple blow molding machines and vision systems using written work instructions and computer interfaces. This role requires a general understanding of manufacturing processes and the ability to follow good manufacturing practices. Qualified candidates start and maintain blow mold machine operation with a complete understanding of their assigned area of responsibility.

• Ensure all machines within the scope of responsibility run and produce quality bottles with minimal downtime; communicate problems to oncoming shift personnel.
• Complete all mold changes and set-ups; perform minor maintenance activities as required.
• Maintain daily housekeeping and organize the work area.
• Provide support to Injection Machine Operators and other team members to maintain a positive team environment.
• Check and monitor quality on all assigned machines; recognize visual quality defects and adjust processes to correct them.
• Maintain documentation of quality checks, testing, process checks, downtime, housekeeping, and data entry.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of related software and equipment for efficient production of quality product.
• Follow safety rules and guidelines; communicate hazards to coworkers and supervisors; use required PPE.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Production Supervisor or Lead.
• Product Safety: ensure cleanliness and report any observations that may create a product safety risk.
• Immediately report unsafe acts, conditions, or accidents; take reasonable care for self and others to prevent injury.

• Sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, climbing
• Pushing/pulling, lifting/carrying as specified (up to 50+ pounds; up to 1000 pounds with equipment)
• Operating forklift; working shifts up to 12 hours, including weekends and holidays; possible elevation work

  High School Diploma or GED
• Experience:
  
  Previous blow mold or injection mold training/experience preferred, or manufacturing process experience with mechanical aptitude
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product/process quality
• Ability to manage time independently in a fast-paced production environment
• Willingness to work any shift and overtime as required
