Description
You will be the Manufacturing Engineer for the Manufacturing Engineering team. Our team is responsible for improving the producibility of early designs and creating manufacturing plans and processes that support the evolving demands of the Warfighter.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for developing and executing manufacturing processes that enable efficient, high‑quality production while partnering closely with cross‑functional stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement robust manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and resolve production issues.
- Drive continuous improvements to manufacturing workflows.
- Ensure compliance with all quality and safety standards.
- Provide technical support and manufacturing feedback on new product designs.

Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in related engineering discipline
- Experience working in a Manufacturing shop floor environment, Machine shop, Electrical shop or assembly line
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; an Interim Secret clearance is required prior to start
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization, including to non-technical personnel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with the design and manufacturing of complex electromechanical systems
- Experience with mechanical assembly, manufacturing tooling design, factory design, and factory flow
- Related professional level career experience in production operations
- Experience in the design of manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining and material handling
Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret.
Ability to Work Remotely: Part‑time Remote Telework – the employee selected for this position will work part of their schedule remotely and part of their schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility. Schedules range from a standard 40 hours over a five‑day work week to condensed schedules that provide employees with additional time away from the office, in addition to Paid Time Off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
