THE WORK

As an assembler you will perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non repetitive production assembly operations on Racks, mechanical assemblies, and electrical assemblies  You will be required to work from diagrams and drawings, use jigs, hand and/or power tools  You will need to make continuity checks on work in process and completed  In some cases, you may be required to disassemble, modify, rework, and/or reassemble products according to Manufacturing Engineering instructions

Responsibilities for this role are not limited to the following:

 Reading and interpreting blueprints and wiring diagrams to determine the appropriate components and assembly procedures

 Building up Racks, such as placing assets in the correct locations and  wire up according to customer specifications

 Maintaining a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and safety

 Following all safety procedures and guidelines to minimize the risk of injury

 Meeting production goals and quotas while maintaining high levels of quality

 Collaborating with engineers, technicians, and other team members to solve production problems and improve processes

 Keeping up to date with new technologies, techniques, and industry standards in cable assembly

* Basic Qualifications:

* Selected candidate must possess a High School education with at least 1 year of professional career experience

 Demonstrated cable and harness assembly knowledge and experience

 Proficient working with hand tools

Skills:

* Prior experience building assemblies

 Experience working with Performance Management Teams  PMTs  to identify process improvements

 Experience working on manufacturing flow lines with multiple team members

** Work Schedules:
** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees   Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed   These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits

** Schedule for this Position:
** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
