Production Manager, Manufacturing Engineer
Overview
The Safety Cable Assembly Supervisor is responsible for directly overseeing daily operations and personnel within the production cells that produce crimped cable and ferrule packages for commercial, defense, and aerospace customers. This role focuses on staffing, production flow, accountability, and individual development to achieve daily and monthly production goals. The ideal candidate leads by example, models company values, maintains a visible presence on the shop floor and coaches team members.
This role is responsible for ensuring quality standards are met, teammates are working safely, production targets are maintained, and customer orders are pulled and fulfilled in a timely manner. We are seeking an energetic and self-motivated leader to help us build robust processes in the department that adopt lean methodologies and other best practices from industry.
- 1–3 years of leadership experience in manufacturing or assembly; aerospace or tooling background preferred.
- Experience working in an ISO 9001/AS9100 certified manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with ERP systems and other production planning tools.
- Associate degree from an accredited institution in manufacturing, engineering, technology, or related field or commensurate technical experience.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or other applicable coursework courses are preferred.
- Exhibits a professional leadership approach with an uncompromising commitment to integrity, action, and accountability.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with colleagues and all levels of management.
- Strong understanding of mechanical assembly processes and tooling systems, including the use of hand tools, and hydraulic/mechanical presses.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including MS Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (or equivalent).
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (preferred).
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, CAD drawings, and other technical documentation.
- Experience developing and maintaining work instructions, job training materials, standard work, and job standards.
- Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a focus on root cause and corrective action.
