Manufacturing Conduit Technician – Rigid Conduit Installer (Temp Role)
Location:
Orlando, FL | Pay: $23/hr.
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Conduit Technician for a temp opportunity in an industrial manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for the installation, routing, and assembly of rigid metal conduit systems supporting electrical power distribution, control systems, and automated production equipment. Candidates must have hands‑on experience with conduit installation and the ability to work from technical drawings in a fast‑paced plant setting.
Key Responsibilities- Install, measure, cut, thread, bend, and assemble rigid metal conduit (RMC), intermediate metal conduit (IMC), and fittings.
- Interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and layout drawings to determine accurate conduit routing.
- Install conduit systems for machinery, production lines, and facility infrastructure.
- Secure conduit using proper supports, hangers, straps, and brackets.
- Ensure all work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local safety standards.
- Collaborate with electricians, maintenance teams, and engineering personnel.
- Assist with basic electrical tasks such as pulling wire and supporting terminations.
- Inspect conduit installations for alignment, accuracy, and quality control.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and conduit‑bending equipment safely and effectively.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–3+ years of rigid conduit installation experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of conduit bending techniques and NEC electrical standards.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Electrical apprenticeship or trade program completion.
- Manufacturing, plant maintenance, or industrial construction experience.
- Familiarity with automated systems or production equipment.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
