About the Opportunity
The Machinist II position performs all aspects necessary for the machining processes used in the manufacturing of components.
LocationStuart, Florida - On Site. Weekend 1st Shift Friday to Sunday, 6 AM to 6 PM (5% shift differential)
Responsibilities- Operates all manual, CNC, or EDM machines to perform completely and independently specific operations as outlined in the methods and process sheets
- Changes, sets, and adjusts precision tools as required
- Loads and deletes programs on the computer
- Makes minor adjustments of feeds and speeds on the assigned machine
- Grinds own cutting tools and drills (other than special purpose tools)
- Maintains specific tolerances and accurately performs dimensions
- Checks parts using specified gages or furnished fixtures to ensure dimensions are maintained
- Performs routine maintenance checks and reports improper machine function
- Maintains a neat and orderly work area
- Follows all applicable safety rules and precautions
- Assists with related training of other employees as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of relevant manufacturing experience
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
- Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
- Working knowledge of the machinability of metals, with a good mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge and ability to use machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments
- Knowledge of shop geometry and trigonometry
- Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
- Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
