You will be the Manufacturing Planner for the Production Planning and Control team. Our team is responsible for overseeing program and manufacturing planning, managing purchase requisitions, material bills of material, and MRP scheduling to ensure timely production.
What You Will Be DoingAs a Production Planning and Control team member, you will be responsible for collaboration with other functions to ensure system accuracy and production schedules that meet commitments to our customers.
- Effective factory implementation and cut‑in of engineering and process changes.
- Maintain and update Material Part Numbers and collaborate with engineering to ensure Bill of Material accuracy, reflecting current design intent.
- Schedule and ensure integrity of the MRP system for all assigned assemblies, reporting build status.
- Monitor production schedules from various manufacturing sites/centers.
- Manage kit issues, hardware fulfillment, and prioritize workflow in partnership with manufacturing supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent education/experience.
- Past experience in 2 of 3 areas:
Make/Buy/BOM Planning or equivalent, with basic understanding of each. - Proficient knowledge of computer systems, databases, and programs; including SAP and Microsoft Office.
- Very good organizational and communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and multitasking skills.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing.
- Knowledge of Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS).
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance after acceptance and before starting the role.
- Ability to work with multiple levels of management, industry peers, and a represented workforce.
- Inventory control and material handling knowledge, including familiarity with material requirements and Dock/Receiving/Warehouse/Shipping areas.
- Understanding of engineering drawings and parts lists.
- ASCM Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification or equivalent.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team‑based environment.
- Lockheed Martin experience preferred.
This position requires a government security clearance. Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years. Must obtain an Interim Secret clearance after acceptance.
