The Sculptor/Scenic Fabricator is responsible for the creative and technical production of themed elements, set pieces, and props made from foam, clay, epoxy, and other materials. This role combines artistry and craftsmanship to bring designs to life while meeting production timelines, safety standards, and quality expectations.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday schedule
- 6:00 AM- 4:00 PM (10 hour shifts)
- Duration
- Long
- Term - OT Available
- Saturday & Sunday; subject to change
- Follow all safety regulations, PPE requirements, and shop procedures.
- Fabricate and finish scenic components, props, and themed elements according to design drawings, blueprints, and artistic direction.
- Sculpt and shape foam, clay, and epoxy-based materials into three-dimensional forms that align with design intent.
- Apply and refine textures, details, and surface treatments to achieve artistic accuracy and realism.
- Collaborate with designers, fabricators, and project leads to troubleshoot, plan, and execute sculptural work efficiently.
• Inspect work for quality, precision, and consistency throughout fabrication. - Maintain organized, clean, and safe work areas in compliance with company safety procedures.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively for carving, cutting, sanding, and finishing.
- Assist in or lead the daily coordination of sculpting activities, depending on experience level.
- Train, mentor, or support junior team members as needed.
- Participate in cross-department collaboration to ensure cohesive project execution.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- 2+ years of sculpting experience in themed entertainment, fine arts, or scenic fabrication.
- Knowledge of sculpting materials such as foam, clay, epoxy, and fiberglass.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and artistic references.
- Creative problem solving.
- Familiarity with molding, casting, and finishing techniques.
- Strong craftsmanship, spatial awareness, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work with different kinds of personalities in a highly creative environment.
- OSHA 10 Certification
- Must be able to pass a drug screening
- Shop and fabrication environment with exposure to dust, noise, and machinery
- Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Requires standing, bending, and lifting, up to 30 lbs. regularly.
